Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season presents a large cast of characters living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive fan obsession.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service specifically in mind," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on October 29.
